WHAT WAS YOUR FAVORITE CLASS WHILE ABROAD, AND WHY? (IF YOU INTERNED ABROAD YOU CAN USE THIS SPACE TO TELL US ABOUT YOUR INTERNSHIP EXPERIENCE IF YOU PREFER)
I took Spanish Civilization and Culture and had a blast! We walked through the history of Spain- very literally. Each week one of our class sessions was a museum visit, where we got so immerse ourselves in Spain's history. It was especially cool learning about the traditions and how the history impacts Spain and Madrid today.
HOW DID YOU ENGAGE WITH THE LOCAL COMMUNITY WHILE ABROAD?
I went out and about and talked to people! My favorite example is the local coffee shop I would go to in between classes. It was just a man and his wife that worked there, and we would chat while he made our orders. By the end of my time there, he knew my order without having to ask, and would give us free cookies as a treat!
